Now I've finished the box bottom for Japanese Octagon Box so that's all the work I have to do on it. Now just to get in touch with Judy Odell again about the finishing.



I sacrificed clarity for style by doing the initial letters in gold. I'm not entirely happy, wonder if it would have looked better with the two S's instead, but I'm not frogging over one metallic.

Next is a guilty stash acquisition. European Cross Stitch are having a special on Thread Gatherer which I couldn't resist and they arrived today.



Pretty colours! I'm glad I had Autumn Honey (third from right)in there as now I know I was right not to order the ribbon in that colour for Justine's wedding sampler. But the real question is, how did Cindy know that I had been trying to find an excuse to buy Tidal Pool (fourth from right) for ages...?
